Keeping track of those pesky bugs

Tuesday, August 14th, 2007

After a few long weeks, we’ve just released our module for managing defects.

Defects can now be tracked for a project or for a product. When you are doing testing you can also create defects directly associated with the test results in e-LM.

The defect can be allocated to a specific owner. To manage the resolution of the defect you can create a set of actions and allocate those to different users. The user’s summary pages includes details of any defects or actions that have been allocated to them.

You can also add attachments and notes (or comments) to the defect. Attachments may include screenshots, speadsheets or any other file that is relavant to resolving the problem.

The top 10 defects are summarised on the dashboard page as well as on the summary pages for programmes, projects and products.

Happy e-LMing

This information can then be used in planning future test-runs. (more…)
